Emily Bradley

Content Designer

Hi! I'm Emily.

I write technical documentation and UX copy, primarily for SaaS products. I work comfortably and efficiently from my home office just outside of Portland, Maine.

A little about me.

Did I always know I'd be a writer?

Nope! I majored in Human Development and Family Studies and then went back to get my Master's of Technical and Professional Communication (MTPC). I think my non-traditional background gives me more perspective and makes me a better content designer.

Who have I worked for?
I've worked for Intuit Mailchimp and Salesforce. Most of the writing samples you'll see here are from Salesforce. If you're curious about more of my older work, feel free to reach out!

What's my general approach and philosophy?

I love the puzzle of people and figuring out how best to communicate with them. In content design, I value plain language, candor, and empathy. Both inside and outside of work, I believe everyone wins if we do the work to understand each other.

Enough about work. What do I do for fun?

I live in southern Maine so our family spends a lot of time outdoors! I love to hike, ski, and spend time on the water (when the weather allows!) It's important to me to give back to my community, so I also volunteer regularly with a local nonprofit called Maine Needs. Learn about their mission here.
